Even in today's technological age, we rarely see women pilots. One such example is Sarala Thukral, who created a record in the 19th century by becoming the first Indian woman pilot to fly a plane wearing a sari at the age of 21. She hails from Delhi and got married to a pilot at the age of 16. Later, with the support of her husband, she took steps towards her goal. She flew a plane for 1000 hours on behalf of the Lahore Flying Club and obtained her A-grade license.
