Afghan and Pakistani forces exchange attacks, 12 Pakistani soldiers killed
Pakistani and Afghan forces clashed along the Durand Line of Control. At least 12 soldiers were killed in Taliban attacks. The Afghan defense ministry issued a statement saying that several Pakistani positions along the border near Kunar and Helmand provinces had been captured. Pakistani and Afghan forces exchanged fire in Bahramcha, Shakji, Bibijani and Salehan districts. Pakistani security officials said that they were repelling the unprovoked firing by Afghan forces.
