India's first female forensic expert
No one would mistake Rukmini Krishnamurthy, who is seen in traditional attire, for a forensic expert. She played a key role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, the Telgi stamp scam, the 26/11 terror attacks, and the Kingfisher Airlines cases. Born in Chennai, Rukmini Krishnamurthy did her PG and PhD in analytical chemistry. She joined the Maharashtra Forensic Science Laboratory as a scientist and rose to the level of director.
