Nifty Surpasses 25,000, Sensex Gains 582 Points
Mumbai: Benchmark equity indices gained for the third consecutive day. The Sensex closed at 81,790.12 on Monday, up 582.95 points on buying in IT, banking, financial services and healthcare sector shares. At one stage, the index rose 639.25 points to hit an intraday high of 81,846.42. The Nifty, on the other hand, rose 183.40 points to settle at 25,077.65. In the last three trading sessions, the Sensex has gained over 1,500 points and the Nifty has gained 466 points.
