Trump said – Hamas lost 70,000 people, now it is necessary to rebuild Gaza.
Washington: Following the Gaza ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, US President Donald Trump issued a significant statement. In his statement, upon both sides accepting the first phase of the Gaza peace plan, President Trump said, "Everything has come together. I believe the attack on Iran was crucial, because if it hadn't happened, they might still have nuclear weapons. Therefore, any agreement we had would have been clouded by darkness. This means this deal wouldn't have been possible."
Trump said, "Now Iran also wants peace."
President Trump said, "Now Iran wants to work toward peace, they informed us... and supported this agreement. We commend Iran for this. We will work with Iran; there are many sanctions... We also want to see their country develop. I express my gratitude to the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for helping us reach this special day. I am also grateful to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and many others. This includes Turkish President Erdogan; he was wonderful. Indonesia was also fantastic."
October 7th attack was horrific: Trump
President Trump said, "October 7th was horrific, but Hamas lost nearly 70,000 people. But this whole conflict should have ended. Gaza needs to be rebuilt. Some countries have tremendous wealth; if they spent even a little bit of it in that area, it would do wonders for Gaza. You'll see many great countries stepping forward, investing a lot of money, and taking care of the situation."
Trump again said, "We've resolved seven wars...and this is the eighth. I thought the Russia-Ukraine war would end the fastest. I think that will end too, but right now they're losing about 7,000 people every week, which is terrible...That war should never have happened. If I were president, it would never have happened."
Trump's statement on peace in the Middle East
Regarding peace in the Middle East, Trump said, "As you know, last night we achieved a historic breakthrough in the Middle East. Something that people never expected to happen. We ended the war in Gaza and truly established peace on a large scale. I think this will be a lasting peace, perhaps forever. Peace has been achieved in the Middle East. We have secured the release of all remaining hostages, which should happen by Monday or Tuesday. I will try to travel there."
Trump also spoke on the US shutdown. Trump said on the US shutdown, "We're here for a Cabinet meeting because my administration is working tirelessly for the American people. Despite the fact that radical left-wing lunatics are shutting down our government, we have Democrats who have lost their way. We don't know who to deal with... This bill was for good healthcare... We'll reduce drug prices by 100-500 percent, even more. We're using the 'favored nations' provision. We were subsidizing the entire world; the entire world pays the share that the US used to pay. Many of our advisors are in other countries as well... We're reducing drug prices in other countries."
