Unclaimed amount is ₹1.84 lakh crore: Nirmala
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has revealed that there is ₹1.84 lakh crore of unclaimed money with banks and regulatory agencies. Authorities should return this to eligible customers. She launched the 'Your Money, Your Right' campaign in Gujarat. "RBI has launched the UDGAM portal on this cash information. Eligible people can claim it by showing relevant documents on this portal or in the bank," she said.
